billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$46.89 billion, or 19.36% of the market's
turnover. There were 826 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.64 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 18.42% and 4.02% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 46.83% and 33.65% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.77 billion and HK$1.58 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.77% and 3.36% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 16.42% and 20.77% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.06, or 0.23%, to HK$26.04. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.012, or 0.24%, to HK$4.924. TENCENT fell HK$5.5, or 1% to HK$546.5. BABA-W declined
by HK$1.6, or 1.2%, to HK$131.6.
