[ET Net News Agency, 9 February 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$255.14 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$36.81 billion, or 14.43% of the
market's turnover. There were 823 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.28 billion and HK$1.73
billion, or 6.2% and 4.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 27.09% and 39.72% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.65 billion and HK$1.55 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.48% and 4.21% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 8.02% and 16.68% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.07, or 1.34%, to HK$5.3. XIAOMI-W ended up HK$0.02, or
0.06%, to HK$35.2. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.46, or 1.72% to HK$27.22. BABA-W jumped HK$2.9,
or 1.87%, to HK$157.9.
