HK$234.04 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.45 billion, or 14.72% of the
market's turnover. There were 813 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.09 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 6.07% and 5.45% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 47.32% and 20% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.73 billion and HK$1.5 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.03% and 4.37% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 26.09% and 9.29% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.025, or 0.47%, to HK$5.325. BABA-W ended up HK$2.6, or
1.65%, to HK$160.5. MEITUAN-W fell HK$2.25, or 2.47% to HK$88.8. TENCENT declined by HK$9,
or 1.61%, to HK$551.
