[ET Net News Agency, 5 March 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$321.87
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$51.46 billion, or 15.99% of the market's
turnover. There were 846 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.22 billion and HK$2.77 billion, or 10.13%
and 5.38% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 13.66%
and 15.29% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.09 billion and HK$1.95 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.06% and 3.79% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.48% and 16.02% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed flat, to HK$25.5. BABA-W ended down HK$3.6, or 2.77%, to HK$126.3.
CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.028, or 0.59% to HK$4.692. TENCENT declined by HK$4, or 0.79%, to
HK$502.
