HSI extends its rise to 500+ pts and is now at 26,131

[ET Net News Agency, 2 January 2026] The Hang Seng Index extended its rise to more than
500 points, or 500 points to 26,131. The Hang Seng Index now rose 500 points, or 2% to
26,131; with market turnover of 54.95b; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index now rose 184
points, or 2.1% to 9,097; the Hang Seng TECH Index now rose 194 points, or 3.5% to 5,710.
TENCENT (00700) now rose HK$20, or 3.3% to HK$619, with turnover of HK$3.5b; BABA-W
(09988) rose HK$4.3, or 3% to HK$147.1, with turnover of HK$2.26b; HSBC HOLDINGS (00005)
rose HK$1.7, or 1.4% to HK$124.1, with turnover of HK$370.11m. (ed)
